CNC Turner Setter Operator – Aerospace Components

The company:
Join a precision engineering leader supplying high-specification components to the aerospace sector. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team, producing small-to-medium batch, complex components for high-profile aerospace clients.
The role:
You will set and operate CNC lathes to tight tolerances, working closely with the Milling and Turning teams to deliver exceptional safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role includes setting and operating CNC Lathes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate two-axis CNC lathes to customer specifications
- Work with Planning, Quality, and other teams on repeat and NPI work
- Maintain tight tolerances
- Uphold 6S standards on the shop floor
- Take part in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
- Problem-solve when setting and have a basic understanding of programming/code reading
What we are looking for:
- Aerospace or similar high-precision engineering experience
- Skilled in setting and operating CNC lathes (
- Comfortable with a range of metallic materials
- Apprentice trained or qualified by experience
- Able to work unsupervised with strong problem-solving skills
- Background in motorsport, oil & gas, or aerospace preferred
This is a late shift role working Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1pm with an early finish on the Friday paying up to £19.50 per hour for the right candidate.
