About the Role
My client is seeking a driven, experienced, and collaborative sales professional to manage the full sales cycle. This role will focus on prospecting and securing new accounts, maximising deal value, and working closely with the technical team to deliver product demonstrations and support technical trials. As a new player in the market, the top priority is winning new logos. This position offers the chance to thrive in a dynamic scale-up environment, with the freedom to help shape and implement new processes and sales playbooks from the ground up. Candidates should be excellent communicators, confident using multiple sales channels including phone, social media, and email. They should also be comfortable presenting a strong business case when selling technical products to technical buyers. A proven track record of meeting sales targets is expected, and experience in the advanced manufacturing market would be a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Close deals rapidly and consistently to achieve sales targets.
- Carry out prospecting activities to ensure adequate coverage ratios.
- Qualify and prioritise deals to maximise efficiency of sales operations.
- Develop and execute strategies for key deals that maximise win probability and deal velocity.
- Work closely with the technical team to support successful product demonstrations and industrial trials.
- Develop, refine and execute prospecting approaches, including creative follow-up (in collaboration with sales and marketing).
- Contribute ideas and leadership to continuously improve the sales process.
- Share customer insights with the wider team to support marketing and product development.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
Requirements
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven sales track record.
- Experience selling or working with technical products (materials science, mechanical testing, inspection, and/or engineering experience would be an advantage).
- Experience in the advanced manufacturing marketplace is a major advantage.
- Strong selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Good prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Comfortable selling and working with technical products and technical buyers.
- Desire to progress into a leadership role as the company grows.
Helpful but Not Essential
- Experience in an early or growth-stage company.
- Experience with outbound sales and securing new customers.
Compensation
Guaranteed base salary between £50-70k, depending on experience. Share options.
