Salary: Β£40,000 to Β£50,000

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly technical Integration and Systems Validation team working on advanced digital simulation and experimentation systems. You will play a key role in ensuring complex real time software products are fully tested, validated and ready for delivery across a range of cutting edge engineering programmes. The role suits someone who enjoys hands on testing, problem solving and working in fast paced technical environments where quality, performance and reliability are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver end to end software testing for simulation and emulation products
  • Translate customer needs and system requirements into structured test plans and specifications
  • Execute progressive testing throughout development cycles to assure software quality
  • Lead technical investigations into defects and unexpected system behaviour
  • Analyse software logs and data to identify issues and demonstrate compliance
  • Support integration, trials and demonstrations with engineering partners and customers
  • Produce clear test reports and certification documentation for project stakeholders
  • Support software release and final qualification activities

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience testing complex systems across the development lifecycle
  • Background in functional, software testing or verification and validation
  • Ability to manage your own workload and identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA, IBM DOORS or similar tools
  • Python scripting or basic test automation experience
  • Experience analysing software logs and data
  • Knowledge of CI CD pipelines

Desirable:

  • Understanding of software systems at multiple levels and stakeholder perspectives
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments
  • ISTQB or other software testing certifications
  • Exposure to simulation or emulator based testing environments
