Part Time Accountant

The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of niche client looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Manager on a Part-Time basis to support a diverse portfolio of businesses and personal financial interests in the Cambridge area. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll take ownership of the management accounts across several entities, providing accurate financial information while supporting budgeting, forecasting and continual improvements to reporting. Working within a small finance team in a quiet office environment, this role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in producing high-quality work and understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion. Responsibilities Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for multiple entities. Prepare meaningful management reports using Sage and Excel. Extract financial data from Sage and manipulate it within Excel to produce accurate management reporting. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Process bank payments and manage petty cash. Assist with payroll accounting, including posting payroll journals and understanding salary sacrifice arrangements. Prepare P11Ds. Assist with annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
