The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing Group multi-entity Finance team.
This role offers broad exposure across management accounts, month-end reporting, reconciliations, cash reporting and audit support, with the opportunity to develop your accounting knowledge and take on greater responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Support month-end close and the preparation of management accounts schedules.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
- Maintain accurate bank postings, cashbooks and supporting financial records.
- Assist with daily cash reporting and updates to the Group cash flow model.
- Support intercompany reconciliations across multiple Group entities.
- Provide information and schedules to support Group reporting and consolidation.
- Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external audit.
- Respond to routine accounting and audit queries.
- Maintain clear, accurate and review-ready working papers and audit trails.
- Support improvements and standardisation across finance processes and controls.
- Work across different entities, ledgers and finance processes as part of a shared-service environment.
- Support the integration of newly acquired entities into established finance processes where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- AAT currently studying or qualified or studying ACCA or CIMA
- Sound understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Experience preparing or posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve routine accounting queries. xgikmsk
