Contract: Full time, Permanent

Are you passionate about helping young people take their first steps into the world of work? We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Work Experience Placement Officer to join our growing team at Oldham College.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong business development or employer engagement experience who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and making a difference to young people\’s futures.

As a Work Experience Placement Officer, you’ll play a key role in securing and coordinating work placements for our students, including T Level Industry Placements, helping them gain valuable real-world experience and progress into apprenticeships or employment. You’ll also work closely with local employers, promoting the College’s employability offer and supporting businesses to connect with emerging talent.

Responsibilities

• As a Work Experience Placement Officer, you’ll play a key role in securing and coordinating work placements for our students, including T Level Industry Placements, helping them gain valuable real-world experience and progress into apprenticeships or employment.
• You’ll also work closely with local employers, promoting the College’s employability offer and supporting businesses to connect with emerging talent.

Qualifications

• Holds a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Has experience working with young people and employers to facilitate work placements or recruitment opportunities.
• Is an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
