Oldham College is looking for an Assistive Technologist

Salary: £26,269 – £28,053

The Role:

The Assistive Technologist role is pivotal at Oldham College, focused on cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential. This role involves delivering high-impact assistive technology (AT) support across college, championing inclusive digital practices, providing personalised learner support, and collaborating with staff to embed accessibility and adaptive strategies into teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with learners with a range of additional needs (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism, visual impairments) in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and an interest in emerging technologies and a proactive approach to trialing and implementing new tools to support learners.
  • An understanding of inclusive education principles and how assistive technology can remove barriers to learning and promote independence.
  • The ability to forge and sustain good working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
