Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in‑class support to pupils, assisting with learning activities and helping them stay engaged
  • Deliver targeted interventions and adapt resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with personal care needs, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and confidence
  • Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications and Skills

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or currently working towards one)
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience supporting children or young people in an educational or care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt learning activities to meet diverse needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Pay and Hours

Pay range: SCP4‑6 – £19,456.87 – £20,078.01 (FTE: £25,185.00 – £25,989.00) – 32.5 hours per week – 39 weeks per year.
