Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on pastoral care, behaviour and attendance for the year group.
  • Provide targeted support and early intervention for vulnerable students.
  • Collaborate with families, external agencies and staff to support student success.
  • Monitor student progress, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and safe school culture.

Qualifications and Skills

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Safeguarding training (Level 2 or above; Level 3 desirable).
  • Strong experience in pastoral care, behaviour or student support.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with staff, families and external agencies.

Salary and Hours

Pay range: SCP 22‑27 – £31,919.14‑£36,201.36; FTE: £33,699.00‑£38,220.00 – 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year.
