Dispatch Operative
We are looking for a flexible and motivated individual to join our dispatch team to ensure all orders are collated and unloaded for dispatch, adhering to timescales and company policies, rules and procedures.

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our dispatch team. You will be expected to work in a fast‑paced environment picking, packing, scanning, loading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift truck.
The position
- Arrange transport for each customer order
- Communicate with the Packhouse to confirm product availability
- Pick customer orders safely and accurately, including handling heavy trays
- Use company systems and handheld scanners effectively
- Follow correct stock rotation procedures when assembling customer orders
- Produce pallet labels based on customer sales orders
- Scan completed pallets onto the customer's trailer
- Perform safety checks before operating a company forklift, ensuring vehicle checks are completed on the onboard system and reporting any faults
- Load customer orders onto the assigned vehicle
- Complete all customer stock counts as required
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business
The perfect candidate should have
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Valid ride‑on pallet truck licence
- Team player but also able to work alone without supervision when required
- Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or handheld device
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
