We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to take responsibility for purchase and sales ledger functionalities ensuring accuracy and timely payment of supplier and customer invoices.
The Position:
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts and process payments in time to avoid late fees
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Raise and issue sales invoices to customers
- Maintain sales ledger ensuring records are accurate, posting receipts and banking daily
- Identify any invoicing errors by liaison with internal departments
- Manage Bacs preparations
- Monitor customer accounts and chasing overdue invoices, handling payment queries accurately and promptly
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business
The perfect candidate should have:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong communication skills with ability to relate to people at all levels
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle confidential information
