Join Our Team as a Nursery Third in charge and Baby Room Leader! Innsworth is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Third in charge to guide and support our team in providing outstanding care and education. In this rewarding leadership role, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor, nurture, and create a positive impact for children, families, and your colleagues.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: £15 - £15 per Hour (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: 40 hours – Working four days 7.30 - 6pm with no set day off.

Location: The Old Station Nursery Innsworth, Imjin Barracks, Innsworth, Gloucestershire, GL3 1ET.

About our Nursery: The Old Station Nursery Innsworth provides exceptional childcare in a purpose-built, eco-friendly setting opposite Imjin Barracks. The nursery features spacious, sunlit rooms ideal for exploration, with a sedum roof and rainwater harvesting. Outdoor spaces include a mud kitchen, vegetable garden, and engaging activities. The nursery is just 5 minutes from the A40 with parking available next to Costcutter.

What being a Nursery Room Leader involves:

  • Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
  • Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
  • Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
  • Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
  • Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
