At Stratford Nursery, we’re seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional care and education. To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification along with previous leadership experience within a nursery setting. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: up to £30,784 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: 38 hours over 4 days, Monday to Friday between 8–6 pm with a flexi day off per week.

What being a Deputy Nursery Manager involves

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:

  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.

Stratford-upon-Avon Nursery provides a newly refurbished indoor environment and extensive outdoor spaces for babies and children aged 0-3. With two rooms, including a sensory room, we offer a nurturing and stimulating setting for our little ones, fostering a love of learning from an early age. We are located on The Ridgeway, minutes from the A46 to Alcester, and a short drive from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. We have a car park directly outside.
