Join Our Team as a SEN Nursery Practitioner! Are you passionate about creating brighter futures for children? At Apricot Nursery, we’re looking for a Level 3 Qualified SEN Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and let’s make a difference together!

You must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification, along with previous experience supporting children with additional needs and completing all relevant SENCO documentation. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: £27,955 per annum based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Location: Apricot Day Nursery, Longsands College, Longsands Road, St Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 1LQ.

About our Nursery: At our St Neots children’s day nursery, we follow the Montessori approach in a home-from-home environment. The children in our care learn through play, and the passionate team at our Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ nursery offer children a variety of activities and learning opportunities every day related to their individual interests, ensuring no two days are ever the same. We are situated on the site of Longsands College, around the back of the school, and are best accessed via Kings Road. We are just a few minutes walk from the train station, where trains run every 30 minutes to Kings Cross, London. The A1 and the A428 are nearby, with bus routes into Cambridge, making us easily accessible for commuters. Our pre-school is only a short walk away and parking is available on both sites.

What Your Role Involves:
  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
