Pay and Working Hours
- Pay: From £33,072 per annum – based on experience (40 hours per week).
- Working Hours: 37.5 to 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Flexible shifts either 4 full days 8am-6pm (40hrs), or 3 full days and 2 half days (37.5hrs).

What Being a Nursery Manager Involves
- Lead, manage, and inspire your nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education with pride and energy.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children’s all-round development and meets individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with families, colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Oversee nursery operations including staff schedules, budgets, health and safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a mentor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the professional development of your team.
- Promote the ethos and values of The Old Station Nursery, ensuring they are deeply embedded in daily practice.
- Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the nursery.
- Confidently lead inspections and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards.

About Our Nursery
In the picturesque village of Little Houghton in Northamptonshire, Little Houghton Day Nursery offers a nurturing and enriching environment for early education. The nursery provides children with a variety of learning opportunities that allow them to explore their interests and develop their unique talents. We have three rooms: a baby room (0–2 years), a toddler room (2–3 years) and a preschool room (3–5 years). The nursery is located just south of Northampton, off the A428 (Bedford to Northampton Road), next to the local church St Mary The Virgin. Parking is available outside the nursery.
