Join Our Team as a Bank Nursery Practitioner! (Zero Hours - Flexible Contract)

Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £12.71 - £13.24 per Hour depending on experience plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday.
Location: Little Green Rascals Children's Day Nursery, Poppleton, Dodsworth Hall, Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton, North Yorkshire, YO26 6HR
About our Nursery: Nestled in the charming village of Poppleton, our nursery is a haven for outdoor exploration and learning in nature. Each day, we welcome up to 43 children into our nurturing environment designed to feel like a second home. We prioritise natural, locally sourced, and organic products in our meals and skincare, ensuring everything is free from unnecessary additives – it’s part of the Little Green Rascals ethos. We are situated on the main street in Poppleton, just 5 mins off the A59 and York outer ring road with parking available too.
What Your Role Involves:
- Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
