To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: £27,164 - £27,476 per Annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - Full Time 40 hours per week.

Location: Small Friends Day Nursery, 15 Rectory Grove, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 2HA.

Our nursery offers a home-from-home experience where personal connections and relationships are cherished. The garden provides a fantastic setting for children to connect with nature through investigative play and creative activities. Small Friends Day Nursery is conveniently located in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, just a short walk from the Broadway and close to the picturesque Library Gardens. You'll find us on Rectory Grove situated next to Ugo's Café and Wish Boutique. If you're arriving by car, there is ample parking available nearby, and you can also reach us easily by public transport with several bus stops and Leigh-on-Sea train station just a short distance away.

What Your Role Involves

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children's development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
