About our Nursery

At Kingsteignton, you will see our hygge‑inspired rooms at our Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ nursery. These rooms allow children to rest, play, learn, and develop in a familiar space that promotes emotional well‑being, togetherness, and friendship. Nestled within the grounds of Kingsteignton School, our purpose‑built nursery has ample outdoor spaces that promote an active lifestyle. Each of our rooms has its own outdoor space set up to provide a range of engaging activities to extend our learning environment. Children love the freedom to play outdoors as much as possible; a little rain never holds us back. We enjoy donning our wellies and puddle suits to jump and splash in puddles, describing how it feels and making mud pies and ‘potions’ in the mud kitchen. We are located on the grounds of Kingsteignton School and can be accessed via the entrance on Chudleigh Road, only a 3-minute drive from the A380 and close to Newton Abbot. We are also easily accessible from Sandygate, Teigngrace, Gappah and Olchard. Parking is available on the roads outside the nursery.

What Your Role Involves
  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
