Pay: £12.71 - £13.24 per hour depending on experience - plus an additional 13.54% accrued holiday pay entitlement

Hours: Flexible zero hours contract. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts or more regular work, opportunities are available Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm depending on nursery needs.

Location: Townsend Montessori Nursery Herne Bay is situated just off the B2205 Sea Street, on Beaumont Street. The setting is only a short walk from Hampton Primary School and Herne Bay town centre. There is ample off-street parking for the team. Step inside and discover two spacious rooms meticulously designed to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. Each room is equipped with a wide array of engaging resources, providing abundant opportunities for children to play and learn. Our outdoor space is a highlight, featuring a dedicated forest area that invites natural exploration and hands-on learning experiences.

What You'll Be Doing: As part of our Bank Nursery Team, you’ll support children and colleagues across the nursery as and when needed - whether that’s covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support. No two days are ever quite the same - and that’s part of the joy. One moment you could be building dens outdoors and the next you’ll be helping bring story time to life. You’ll support children through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection while helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore.

What We’re Looking For: Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting, a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential. We’re looking for people with big hearts, curious minds, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
