Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.
Pay: £12.71- £13.24 per hour *plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday.

About our Nursery: Townsend Montessori Nursery Herne Bay is situated just off the B2205 Sea Street, on Beaumont Street. The setting is only a short walk from Hampton Primary School and Herne Bay town centre. There is ample off-street parking for the team. Step inside and discover two spacious rooms meticulously designed to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. Each room is equipped with a wide array of engaging resources, providing abundant opportunities for children to play and learn. Our outdoor space is a highlight, featuring a dedicated forest area that invites natural exploration and hands-on learning experiences.
What Your Role Involves: As a valued member of our team, you’ll:
- Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
