At Harpole, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to guide and support our team in providing outstanding care and education. To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Harpole Day Nursery is a nurturing haven within the small Northamptonshire village, providing exceptional childcare in a warm, home‑from‑home environment. With a capacity for up to 34 children daily, our smaller size ensures personalised attention and tailored learning experiences. At Harpole, we pride ourselves on our close‑knit community, where every child is cherished and supported by our dedicated team. Harpole Day Nursery is conveniently located in Harpole village, near junction 16 on the M1. Ample parking is available onsite.

What Being a Nursery Room Leader Involves

  • Leading and mentoring the team to provide high‑quality early years education with passion and energy.
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
  • Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
  • Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
  • Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
  • Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
