Join our team as a Forest School Practitioner at Little Green Rascals Elvington. This role is based in our Forest School, with occasional work within the preschool room as required.
Qualifications
- Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or a Forest School qualification.
- Ideally, have previous experience working in a Forest School.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
- Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
- Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

Pay & Working Hours
£29,016 – £29,016 per annum based on experience (40 hours per week). Working hours: 38 hours a week, 9.5 hours a day over 4 days with one day off in the week.

We are pioneers of the Organic Day Nursery concept, dedicated to nurturing children naturally. Surrounded by roaming animals and Winn Wood at our doorstep, we create a comforting, home‑like environment. Outside, our landscaped gardens provide daily access for our Rascals to ride bicycles and scooters, engage in mud kitchen play, explore willow tunnels, experiment with giant musical instruments, climb wooden play structures, and jump into puddles of all sizes!
