To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Food and Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate strong knowledge of food allergens and dietary requirements. Previous experience in scratch cooking, baking, and menu preparation is also required.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00am until 5:00pm

What Your Role Involves:

  • Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals for the children.
  • Plan menus and manage food orders, ensuring everything stays within budget.
  • Create fun learning experiences by engaging in baking activities with the children.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with health and safety standards.

About our Nursery: Choochoos Day Nursery Canterbury is located on the outskirts of the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury and is a purpose-built nursery providing care for children aged 0-5. Our ethos focuses on providing children with the freedom to explore and learn through play, whilst also engaging them in regular trips around the local area to visit places such as Canterbury Library, Westgate Gardens and the local park. Located in the heart of Canterbury, we are a short walk to the city centre, and are just 5 minutes off the A2 with free parking.
