Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.

Qualifications

Experience working in a childcare setting is required. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential. Flexibility to work at other nearby nurseries when required, with travel supported via own vehicle or Uber.

About Little Oaks Day Nursery

Little Oaks Day Nursery in Malvern is one of the only purpose‑built nurseries in the local area, providing high quality childcare in a stimulating learning environment. The nursery is a proud owner of Millie’s Mark, an endorsement for providers that go above and beyond minimum requirements by ensuring 100% of staff are trained in paediatric first aid. It is situated next door to Whiteacres Medical Centre, just off the B4208 Townsend Way, accessible via Sandy’s Road with ample parking available.

Salary & Working Hours

  • Pay: up to £12.55 per hour (plus accrued holiday pay, depending on experience)
  • Working hours: Zero hour contract – flexible shifts each week between 8 am‑6 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Little Oaks Day Nursery, Malvern, Maple Road, Enigma Business Park, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 1GQ
