At Granta Park, we're looking for an enthusiastic Preschool Room Leader to guide and support our team in providing outstanding care and education. To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with strong experience working within a Preschool / Montessori.

About Our Nursery: The Old Station Nursery Granta Park is a premium nursery offering four extra learning enhancements for our children; these are Organic growing, Cookery and Language lessons; all delivered in a Montessori inspired way which encourages practical learning at each child's unique pace. The nursery is located in Granta Park, conveniently located just 5 minutes from M11/A505 junction with quick access to central Cambridge with ample parking. It is a truly unique setting with an onsite Nuffield Health Gym and Restaurant that our team benefit from a 50% discount as well as beautiful local nature walks to enjoy on your lunchbreak. Own transport is required due to the Nursery being located on the Science Business Park, offering plenty of free on-site parking. Our Nursery is also commutable by the local no.13 bus and Granta Park commuter buses travelling to Cambridge and Whittlesford.
What Being a Nursery Room Leader Involves: As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
- Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
- Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
- Overseeing the team's implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
- Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager's absence.
- Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child's needs.
