At Oxford Science Park, we’re seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional care and education. To be considered for this role, you must hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have proven leadership experience working within a nursery setting. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

What being a Deputy Nursery Manager involves
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:
- Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
- Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
