At Little Houghton, we’re seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional care and education. Step into a leadership role where you’ll mentor, guide, and create brighter futures for children, families, and your team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing. To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous supervisory or deputy experience. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay From £28,704 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours 37.5 to 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Flexible shifts either 4 full days 8am‑6pm (40hrs), or 3 full days and 2 half days (37.5hrs).

Location Little Houghton Day Nursery, The Old School, 35 Bedford Road, Little Houghton, Northamptonshire, NN7 1AB.

What Being a Deputy Nursery Manager Involves

  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.

About Our Nursery

In the picturesque village of Little Houghton in Northamptonshire, Little Houghton Day Nursery offers a nurturing and enriching environment for your child’s early education. Situated in a charming rural setting, our nursery provides children with a variety of learning opportunities that allow them to explore their interests and develop their unique talents. We have 3 rooms – baby (0‑2 years), toddler (2‑3 years), and preschool (3‑5 years). The nursery is just south of Northampton, off the A428 (Bedford to Northampton Road), next to the local church St Mary The Virgin. Nearby villages and the village hopper bus route provide easy access. Parking is available outside the nursery.
