What Being a Deputy Nursery Manager Involves
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:
- Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
- Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.

About Our Nursery
Little Oaks Day Nursery in Malvern is one of the only purpose-built nurseries in the local area, providing high quality childcare in a stimulating learning environment. The nursery is a proud owner of Millie’s Mark, which is awarded as a special endorsement to local childcare providers that go above and beyond minimum requirements by having 100% of staff trained in paediatric first aid. The nursery is situated next door to Whiteacres Medical centre, just off the B4208 Townsend Way. The nursery is accessible via Sandy’s Road. There is ample parking available.
