Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Pay: up to £12.71 - £13.24 per Hour *plus accrued holiday pay

Working Hours: Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday.

About our Nursery: Set in the heart of Maidstone, Kent, our beautiful period nursery building is home to more than 80 children each day. With three outdoor spaces and five rooms, we’re a popular and loved nursery for local Kent families. Inside our nursery, every corner is designed to inspire curiosity and foster growth. Bright and spacious interiors welcome children into a world of learning and play, filled with vibrant colours and cosy corners that encourage exploration and creativity. Townsend Montessori Nursery Maidstone is located in the town centre with great public transport links. The setting is located just off the A249 on Priory Road. Parking is available in the car park on Mill Street.

What Your Role Involves:

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
