Requirements: To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Food and Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate strong knowledge of food allergens and dietary requirements. Previous experience in scratch cooking, baking, and menu preparation is also required. Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: £27,456 per annum (based on 40 hours). Working Hours: 37.5 per week, 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. Location: Harpole Day Nursery, 47 Carr’s Way, Harpole, Northamptonshire, NN7 4BZ.

What Your Role Involves: As a Cook in our nursery, you’ll:

  • Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals for the children.
  • Plan menus and manage food orders, ensuring everything stays within budget.
  • Create fun learning experiences by engaging in baking activities with the children.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with health and safety standards.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Experience preparing and cooking delicious meals.
  • Previous experience of working with allergens.
  • A valid Food and Hygiene certificate.
  • Drive, passion and care for your work.

About our Nursery: Harpole Day Nursery is a nurturing haven within the small Northamptonshire village, providing exceptional childcare in a warm, home-from-home environment. With a capacity for up to 34 children daily, our smaller size ensures personalised attention and tailored learning experiences. Harpole Day Nursery is conveniently located in Harpole village, near junction 16 on the M1. Ample parking is available onsite.
