Join to apply for the Nursery Practitioner role at The Old Station Nursery Group. This role is based at The Old Station Nursery Granta Park, Great Abington, Cambridgeshire, CB21 6GP (Free on‑site parking).

Pay: up to £29,848 per annum, based on qualifications and experience (40 hours per week).

Working hours: Full‑time 40 hours flexible over 4 full days, or 37.5 hours over 3 full days and 2 half days. Shifts are between 8am–6pm Monday to Friday. (Part‑time full days also considered).

  • You must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Own transport is required; the location is commutable by bus no.13 and the Granta Park commuter bus service to Cambridge and Whittlesford.
  • We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.

About Our Nursery: The Old Station Nursery Granta Park is a premium nursery offering four extra learning enhancements for our children: organic growing, cookery, and language lessons, all delivered in a Montessori‑inspired way that encourages practical learning at each child’s unique pace.
