Where You'll Be Working: Based in a listed former school building opposite Bishopthorpe library, our nursery has a home-from-home feel, with four rooms, three gardens, and an onsite Forest School. Our Out of School and Holiday Club is attached to the local school. From arts and crafts to outdoor adventures, we give children space to follow their interests, enjoy friendships, and relax. Our kitchen team prepares fresh, organic food onsite for children and staff. Mabel, our nursery dog, attends two days a week and is training to become a therapy dog for children.
What You'll Be Doing: You’ll coordinate the club’s day-to-day running, helping your team create safe, inclusive, and enjoyable sessions. Your role will include:
- Leading breakfast and after-school provision with support from the nursery management team.

- Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures, keeping accurate registers and records, and raising concerns promptly.
- Keeping club spaces clean, organized, inclusive, and ready for play.
- Completing administrative tasks and supporting the nursery team between sessions.
Our values are simple: Own it. Be human. Make it happen. That means following through on responsibilities, listening with care, and working together to make each session a positive experience.

- Good organisation and the ability to coordinate activities, routines, and administration.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved in play.
- A practical, flexible approach to supporting the wider nursery team.
- Openness to feedback and enthusiasm for developing your leadership skills.
