The base pay range is £12.32 – £12.45 per hour, plus accrued holiday pay.

Working hours

Zero hour contract – flexible shifts each week between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

About the nursery

At Sandhills Day Nursery Heath Mill, we cultivate children’s natural curiosity with a range of engaging activities and experiences in a modern, safe and spacious setting. With four age‑specific rooms all on one floor, children can progress at their own pace, developing skills, confidence, and independence. The nursery is on the ground floor of Heath Mill House with ample parking.

What your role involves

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and care.

Requirements

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is required. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and verification of your right to work in the UK.
