Pay: £34,320 - £34.32 per Annum, £16 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.25 hours per day, with 45 min lunch, 41.25 hour weekly contract

Location: Ashbrook Drive, Rednal, Rubery, Birmingham, West Midlands, B45 9FP

What being an Assistant Nursery Manager involves

As an Assistant Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:

  • Lead inspections and be accountable for the nursery's compliance and smooth operation if the Senior Nursery Manager is supporting other sites.
  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Support the Senior Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Senior Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.

About our Nursery

My First Friends Rubery nursery prides itself on its large spaces and stimulating environment and beautiful outdoor space. Rubery is situated on Park Way, on Great Park opposite Brewers Fayre and Nuffield Health. Entry to the nursery is off Ashbrook Drive and there is ample parking available.
