Pay: £12.71 per hour based on experience, plus an additional 13.54% accrued holiday pay entitlement.

Hours: Flexible zero hours contract. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts or more regular work, opportunities are available Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm depending on nursery needs.

Location: Harpole Day Nursery, 47 Carr’s Way, Harpole, Northamptonshire, NN7 4BZ

Where You'll Be Working

Harpole Day Nursery is a nurturing haven within the small Northamptonshire village, providing exceptional childcare in a warm, home-from-home environment. With a capacity for up to 34 children daily, our smaller size ensures personalised attention and tailored learning experiences. At Harpole, we pride ourselves on our close-knit community, where every child is cherished and supported by our dedicated team. Harpole Day Nursery is conveniently located in Harpole village, near junction 16 on the M1. Ample parking is available onsite.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support children and colleagues across the nursery as needed—covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support.
  • Participate in a variety of activities, including outdoors (e.g., building dens) and story time, to promote exploration and learning.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel happy, valued, and confident to explore through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • We’re looking for people with big hearts, curious minds, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
