The Old School Surgery is looking to recruit a minimum of two part-time Salaried GPs to join our clinical team. Each role will be potentially 4 sessions per week (but this could change), with flexibility around how sessions are structured across the week. We welcome applications from newly qualified GPs as well as those in the early stages of their GP career who are looking to develop within a supportive practice environment. The successful candidates will join a friendly, partner-led practice serving around 7,500 patients in Stoney Stanton.

Our multidisciplinary team works closely together to deliver high-quality patient care while continuing to develop how services are organised and delivered. The practice is strengthening its team structure to support clinicians, including the development of Patient Co-ordinator roles to help manage communication and patient requests. Digital systems such as Rapid Health support patient triage and help ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative practice focused on delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

The Salaried GP will provide a full range of primary care services to the practice population, including the assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and ongoing health conditions. The role includes providing patient consultations, managing long-term conditions, reviewing clinical correspondence and investigation results, and supporting the overall delivery of primary care services within the practice. Working collaboratively with GP partners, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the safe and effective management of patients while supporting the efficient operation of the practice. The GP may also contribute to triage systems where appropriate, helping ensure patients are directed to the most suitable clinician or service.
