The Old School Surgery is looking to recruit a Practice Nurse Manager to lead and support the nursing team within our practice. This role provides clinical leadership across the nursing function, helping ensure high standards of patient care while supporting the development of nursing services within the practice, with a hands-on approach and leading by example. Working closely with GP partners and the wider clinical team, the Practice Nurse Manager will oversee the delivery of nursing services including chronic disease management, preventative care and treatment room services. The role will also support the development of clinical processes that help ensure patients receive safe, effective and well-coordinated care.
The successful candidate will join a friendly, partner-led practice serving around 7,500 patients in Stoney Stanton. We are continuing to strengthen how our teams work together to support patient access and communication, supported by systems such as Rapid Health which help direct patients to the most appropriate clinician. Main duties of the job
The Practice Nurse Manager will provide leadership and support to the nursing team, with a lead by example mindset, helping ensure the delivery of safe and effective nursing care across the practice. The role includes supporting the organisation and development of nursing services, helping ensure clinical standards are maintained and that nursing care supports the wider needs of the practice population. Working closely with GP partners and the multidisciplinary team, the Practice Nurse Manager will support services such as chronic disease management, preventative care, treatment room services and patient health promotion. The role also involves supporting clinical governance, mentoring nursing staff and contributing to the development of clinical processes that support high-quality patient care.

Job responsibilities
The Old School Surgery is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Practice Nurse Manager to lead and support the nursing team within our well-established, partner-led GP practice. This role combines clinical practice with team leadership, ensuring patients receive high-quality, proactive and well-coordinated nursing care across the practice. The post-holder will support the development of clinical services, contribute to quality improvement and work closely with the GP partners and senior leadership team to maintain excellent standards of patient care. The Practice Nurse Manager will play a key role in ensuring the nursing team works effectively alongside GPs, Healthcare Assistants and the Patient Co-ordinator team, supporting clear communication and smooth patient pathways.
