The Old School Surgery is looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our clinical team for approximately 4 sessions per week. This role provides an opportunity to work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary practice, assessing, diagnosing and managing patients presenting with a wide range of acute and ongoing healthcare needs.

The ANP will work closely with GP partners, nurses and the wider clinical team, helping support the delivery of high-quality patient care while contributing to the practice's patient access model. We are a friendly, partner-led practice serving around 7,500 patients and are continuing to strengthen how we organise services and support communication across the practice. Digital triage systems such as Rapid Health help ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician while maintaining access to face-to-face appointments.

We are looking for a clinician who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and who wants to contribute to a practice focused on providing responsive, patient-centred care.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will provide autonomous clinical assessment and management for patients presenting with a range of acute and ongoing health conditions. The role includes assessing, diagnosing and treating patients within scope of practice, prescribing where qualified, and supporting the management of both urgent and routine patient presentations.

Working closely with GP partners and the nursing team, the ANP will contribute to the effective delivery of clinical services within the practice. The role may include supporting the practice's triage processes and helping ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician.

The ANP will work collaboratively with colleagues across the practice, including nurses, healthcare assistants and patient co-ordinators, helping ensure patients receive safe, efficient and well-coordinated care.

Our multidisciplinary team includes GP partners, salaried GPs, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, patient co-ordinators, administrative staff and a dispensary team. We also work closely with a wider clinical team including clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, a paramedic practitioner, midwife, mental health practitioners and social prescribers through our Primary Care Network.
