The Old Fountain near Old Street is looking for hardworking bar staff, both full and part time, with personality and a passion for what they serve and drink. £12.72 an hour plus tips (£2-3ph), staff food, drinks, and staff discount.
Experience is preferred but the essentials are as follows:
- A friendly persona - we want customers to be welcomed and our staff to engage with them and other team members.
- Willingness to learn - beer, food, wine, spirits, service, cellar...
- Calm in a crisis - we are a busy pub but we always get through the tough times and we need people to keep their heads and enjoy the rush rather than get stressed.
- Reliability - we are a team and no one wants to feel let down.
- Food service - training can be given but we do a lot of table service (for tips).
- Supervisor roles are available to those who prove themselves reliable and responsible.
The Old Fountain has been in the same independent family ownership since 1964 and is now in its third generation of family management. Our focus is around craft beer, real ale, and excellent service! We have one of the most diverse and exciting beer selections in London, which we have spent over a decade building up. We have a traditional London Boozer feel and an amazing first floor roof terrace.
