The Old Forge Day Nursery is looking for a caring, reliable and positive individual to join our team as a Lunch Cover Assistant. This is a key role within the nursery day, helping to ensure children feel safe, supported and valued during one of our busiest and most social times.
The Old Forge Day Nursery is a warm, welcoming setting where children are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence and curiosity. As part of The DEN Nursery Group, we are proud of our strong team culture, high standards and child-centred approach.
The Role
You will support our team between 11:30am and 2:00pm, helping to create a calm, enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting children during lunch
- Encouraging independence and positive mealtime routines
- Supporting handwashing and toileting
- Setting up and clearing lunch areas
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
- Working collaboratively with the nursery team
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Is warm, patient and naturally caring
- Is reliable and punctual
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has experience with children (preferred but not essential)
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child wellbeing
