The Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio is recruiting a Clinical Neuromuscular Physician to join our growing team.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Neuromuscular Disorders Center is internationally recognized for our clinical services and laboratory-based translational research. Ideal candidates will have academic interest and clinical or laboratory-based research interest. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

The Department of Neurology consists of 15 specialized divisions, 63 physicians, 5 psychologists, 12 dedicated research faculty, 24 residents, and 14 fellows. We deliver unparalleled subspecialty care across all neurology disciplines, with services spanning 7 state-of-the-art ambulatory facilities and 3 hospitals. The department operates 27 groundbreaking multidisciplinary and personalized clinics, 3 comprehensive inpatient consultation services, an 18-bed university hospital neurocritical care unit, and a 30-bed stroke ward.
With over $15.5 million in annual research funding, OSU Neurology is at the forefront of discovering new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for neurological disorders. Our fundamental research portfolio focuses on neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, and neuroregenerative medicine. This year alone, our faculty conducted over 320 clinical trials and studies, supported by a cutting-edge biorepository and brain bank.
Faculty responsibilities are consistent with our tripartite mission – patient care, education, and clinical research. The individual selected for this position will have ample opportunities to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits. Other duties include representing the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and representing OSU at professional meetings and community speaking engagements.
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Completion of Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
