We are currently seeking a Pipeline Installation Engineer to support a major offshore Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) development project in the UK.
Project Overview
The project forms part of a large-scale offshore Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) development supporting the UK’s Net Zero ambitions and future decarbonisation infrastructure. The scope includes the installation of a large offshore CO2 export pipeline connecting onshore industrial facilities to offshore subsea storage infrastructure in the North Sea. Offshore works include subsea manifolds, infield flowlines, offshore pipeline installation activities, landfall works, offshore construction operations, and power/fibre-optic communication cable infrastructure connected to offshore injection and monitoring wells. The offshore campaign involves complex marine operations, vessel coordination, multiple subcontractor interfaces, and execution of offshore installation activities across a large-scale subsea infrastructure development.
Role Overview
The Pipeline Installation Engineer will support the preparation and execution of above water tie-in and offshore pipeline installation activities, ensuring all operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project QHSE and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Pipeline Installation Manager
- Coordinate engineering, mobilisation, and offshore operational activities
- Ensure deliverables are completed in line with HSE and installation requirements
- Support efficient execution of offshore installation campaigns
- Manage subcontractors and fabrication scopes where required
- Participate in operational risk management activities in line with ALARP principles
- Ensure offshore operations are executed according to approved procedures
- Interface with clients and maintain project requirements throughout execution
Candidate Requirements
- Experience within offshore pipeline installation projects
- Experience with above-water tie-in operations
- Previous experience managing subcontractors
- Offshore operations and project execution experience
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines within offshore projects
