The Role

At Fora, we design and operate exceptional workspaces where technology enhances the everyday experience — seamlessly and reliably. As we bring our audio‑visual services in‑house, we’re looking for an AV Engineer to help shape and support a high‑quality AV estate across our locations. This is a practical, delivery‑focused technical role for someone who takes pride in neat installations, enjoys troubleshooting, and feels confident working in live office environments. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our meeting spaces, collaboration areas, and client environments simply work — every time.

Working closely with the AV Manager and the wider IT Infrastructure Team, you’ll support the transition from an outsourced model to a robust, consistent in‑house AV service. Your work will span AV installations, refresh projects, client fit‑outs, ambient audio systems, and hands‑on support — both on‑site and remotely. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and seeing the direct impact of their work across beautiful, design‑led spaces.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • AV Installation & Delivery
    • Install, configure, and commission AV systems across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, communal areas, and client offices
    • Support AV refresh programmes, replacement works, and small installations
    • Carry out site surveys, cabling, mounting, and room preparation
  • Support & Troubleshooting
    • Provide responsive on‑site and remote support for AV issues
    • Diagnose faults accurately, escalating complex issues where necessary
    • Help reduce repeat incidents through clear root‑cause analysis and feedback
  • Client & Member Support
    • Support AV elements of client fit‑out projects for members opting into Fora AV systems
    • Assist with client walkthroughs and demonstrations when required
    • Maintain and troubleshoot ambient sound systems across the estate
  • Operational Excellence & Safety
    • Ensure all work meets health & safety standards, following RAMS and installation best practice
    • Maintain accurate AV asset records and installation documentation
    • Collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure, Operations, and other teams to resolve cross‑functional issues
  • Knowledge Sharing
    • Provide clear guidance and occasional demonstrations to internal teams on AV usage and basic troubleshooting

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and supporting AV systems in commercial environments
  • Experience with some or all of the following: Yealink, Logitech, Bose Videobar, Dante audio systems
  • Strong working knowledge of AV cabling, patching, mounting, and room preparation standards
  • Confidence working in live office environments, with a strong awareness of health & safety
  • Competent use of power tools
  • Experience supporting users face‑to‑face, including non‑technical users
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow installation playbooks
  • Good understanding of networking basics for AV systems (VLANs, PoE, IP addressing)
  • Experience with digital signage or AV control systems is desirable
