We are looking for a

Kitchen & Bar Supervisor to help lead the delivery of our food and beverage offer and play a key role in creating an outstanding visitor experience at the Octagon.

From welcoming audiences before a show to ensuring smooth service during busy events, you'll help create an environment where customers feel valued, looked after and excited to return.

Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll combine hands-on operational leadership with a passion for hospitality, supporting both our daytime and pre-theatre dining offer as well as room hire events.

This role would suit someone with experience supervising a food and beverage operation in a fast-paced venue.

You'll have a proactive, hands-on approach and be able to balance customer service, team leadership and operational responsibilities.

You'll have a strong understanding of customer service, stock and financial controls, and health and safety requirements, alongside a genuine enthusiasm for creating welcoming and memorable experiences for every visitor.

Our ideal candidate will be a food and beverage professional who will

  • Lead the Kitchen & Bar team to deliver a friendly, consistent and high-quality customer experience that reflects the Octagon's welcoming and inclusive values.
  • Coordinate food and beverage operations, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, professionally and to the highest standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries, bookings and customer issues effectively while creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Support the effective management of stock, EPOS systems, financial reconciliations, bookings and purchasing processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Develop and support team members through training, leadership and clear communication, helping to build a confident and customer-focused team.
