Fixed term until 31st August 2027 in the first instance with the possibility of extension (funding dependent). 32.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday, Term time only. Salary Grade 3 (points 9 – 22) FTE £27,254 – £33,699. Actual salary £21,455 – £26,528.
Responsibilities
- Work with Year 2 pupils who have additional needs, including ADHD and autism.
- Work with small groups of pupils and carry out all class teaching assistant duties.
- Provide support to children with SEND needs in a primary setting.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and professionals.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with ADHD and autism.
- Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents and professionals.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and learning.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/5 or above.
