About the role
We are looking for an experienced People & Talent Lead to support the delivery of high-quality recruitment and onboarding across our education partnerships. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and implementing effective, compliant recruitment processes and helping to build a strong pipeline of educators and learning professionals.
Over the initial 6-month contract, your focus will be to:
- Establish clear and efficient recruitment and assessment processes
- Support partners with hiring across a range of education roles
- Develop onboarding pathways that ensure compliance and a positive candidate experience
Key responsibilities
- Lead recruitment activity for educators, tutors, mentors and education professionals across partner settings
- Design and deliver structured assessment processes (e.g. interviews, teaching tasks, scenario-based assessment and scorecards)
- Support safe and effective recruitment for remote and online roles, including appropriate assessment of digital teaching and professional practice
- Develop onboarding processes covering compliance, safeguarding, contracts and preparation for role
- Ensure all recruitment activity meets safer recruitment requirements, including:
- Enhanced DBS checks (where applicable)
- References and employment history verification
- Right to work checks
- Accurate and compliant record keeping
- Build positive working relationships with partner schools and education providers, providing clear updates on recruitment progress and timelines
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and able to manage multiple recruitment processes to a high standard. You will bring:
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR or people operations
- Experience working in education, or with schools, tutoring services, SEND or other child-centred environments
- A good understanding of safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements (KCSIE)
- Experience designing or improving recruitment and selection processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience recruiting teachers, tutors or education support staff
- Experience of remote, online or hybrid workforce recruitment
- Experience working with SEND, SEMH or alternative provision
- Experience onboarding freelance, associate or sessional staff
