Role: Skilled Welder – Skip Maintenance
Location: Head Office, Mayfield
Salary: Starting from £30,500 based on experience

Your Role:
As a Skilled Fabricator Welder, your primary responsibility will be welding skips and carrying out structural repairs to damaged skips to ensure they are safe, functional, and fit for purpose. You will be based primarily in our workshop, with occasional site visits as required, working to a high standard of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect skips for structural damage or wear and carry out appropriate welding repairs.
Fabricate and modify metal components to repair or reinforce skips.
Ensure all welding and fabrication work is completed to a high standard in line with health and safety regulations.
Keep accurate records of completed work and report recurring issues.
Maintain tools, welding equipment, and workshop cleanliness.
Follow safe systems of work, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop and yard areas.
Support other workshop duties as required and contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Proven experience in welding, ideally with skip containers or similar heavy-duty steelwork.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
