We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Ecommerce Manager to take ownership of our online trading performance and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of our ecommerce channel. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will shape how customers shop online, driving conversion, increasing average order value, and maximising revenue through data-led trading decisions and onsite optimisation.
Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will turn insight into action and ensure our digital experience is continuously evolving to deliver commercial growth.
What Youll Be Doing- Website Management and Optimisation
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the custom-built website, including search, merchandising, recommendation zones (via XO), and page optimisations (via Contentful).
- Manage banner changes, Product Listing Page (PLP) builds, and other site updates.
- Trading Strategy Development and Execution
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to plan, build, and execute the trading strategy for both external and own brands.
- Focus on supporting revenue delivery by optimising Average Order Value (AOV) and Conversion Rate (CVR).
- Trade and Promotional Calendar Management
- Manage the trade and promotional calendar, working closely with marketing and buying teams to effectively execute campaigns and meet business objectives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Use data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to generate detailed reporting for stakeholders, providing actionable insights on key performance metrics such as CVR%, AOV, and bounce rate.
- Own key reporting streams, providing updates to the senior leadership team.
- Website Optimisation via Data and Tools
- Analyse website performance using GA4, XO, and other tools.
- Provide solutions to optimise the site.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement technical initiatives that enhance the customer experience and journey.
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) Management
- Be hands-on in Google Tag Manager, including uploading, deploying, or removing tags.
- Support for International Expansion
- Collaborate with the senior leadership and development team to support the technical and onsite elements of expanding into new territories.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with buying, merchandising and wider teams to understand stock levels and incoming product, aligning marketing strategies and ensuring the website reflects product launches.
- Provide feedback to the teams to manage risks and maximise opportunities.
- Build relationships with key teams across the business, including marketing, buying, logistics, and customer services, to foster a continuous feedback loop and optimise website performance.
- Share insights into stock, product range, and competitive offerings to improve the overall customer experience.
- Proven experience in an ecommerce trading or ecommerce management role, or an experienced Manager ready for their next step.
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on driving growth, performance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Highly data-driven, with strong experience using GA4 and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable trading recommendations.
- Proven track record of improving onsite KPIs such as CVR, AOV and engagement metrics through testing, optimisation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of onsite merchandising, digital trading and customer journey optimisation (experience with custom-built ecommerce platforms desirable).
- Confident working across multiple teams, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and gain buy-in at all levels.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present insights, performance updates and recommendations clearly and confidently.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while delivering against deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities, propose solutions and see initiatives through to completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on producing high-quality, accurate output.
- Understanding of brand presentation across digital touchpoints and how it impacts customer perception and sales.
- Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
- Full-time, office-based role.
- Mon-Thurs: 8:30am-5:00pm.
- Friday early finish (4:30pm).
