The Nunhead Gardener is growing, and we are looking for an experienced and inspiring Store Manager to lead our Camberwell location, including our exciting new floristry and online fulfilment space, The Bloom Room. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a multi-faceted retail operation that combines plants, floristry, homeware, gifts, and e-commerce, all under one brand known for creativity, quality, and exceptional customer service.

The Role

  • Lead and inspire three teams: Retail, Floristry, and Online Fulfilment.
  • Deliver sales growth with a sharp focus on profitability and margin mix.
  • Ensure stock control excellence: the right products in stock, plants cared for to the highest standards, accurate records, and minimal wastage.
  • Oversee The Bloom Room: supporting our Floristry Lead in growing wedding, event, and contract flower services, and ensuring online orders are fulfilled beautifully and accurately.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where every team member is encouraged to grow their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
  • Set the tone on customer experience, ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth and creativity of The Nunhead Gardener brand.

  • A proven leader in retail, lifestyle, or floristry.
  • Commercially astute with strong stock management skills.
  • Hands-on, organised, and confident in delegation.
  • Passionate about plants, flowers, and beautiful retail spaces.
