We’re looking for an experienced Indoor Living Department Manager to take ownership of our indoor plant, pot, and homeware departments at our flagship Nunhead store. This is a hands‑on management role at the heart of the business. You’ll be responsible for how the indoor space looks, feels, and trades – leading a small team, planning and delivering strong visual merchandising, managing stock and supplier ordering, and ensuring plants are beautifully presented and well cared for. Throughout everything you do, exceptional customer service remains the top priority.
You’ll reset and refresh the indoor department after busy weekends, plan displays ahead of weekly deliveries, review weekend sales, and build the weekly plant replenishment order to meet supplier deadlines. You’ll also oversee the smooth arrival and display of our weekly indoor plant delivery, ensuring minimal disruption to customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with organisation, leading by example, and taking real pride in both presentation and service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the day‑to‑day running of the Indoor Living department
- Leading visual merchandising and early‑week resets
- Reviewing sales and planning weekly plant and stock replenishment
- Managing supplier and warehouse ordering
- Leading and supporting a small indoor team
- Maintaining outstanding customer service at all times
About you:
- Experienced in retail management or senior supervisory roles
- Strong eye for visual merchandising and detail
- Confident managing stock, ordering, and deliveries
- Warm, people‑focused leader who enjoys being hands‑on
- Passionate about plants, interiors, and creating inspiring spaces
Real ownership and autonomy within a small, supportive team. Opportunity to shape the look and feel of a much‑loved local business. Ongoing training and development.
Role Type Pay Rate: 28000 GBP – 29000 GBP (Annum)
